What is Health and Wellness Coaching?
Health and Wellness Coaches partner with clients seeking self-directed, lasting changes, aligned with their values, which promote health and wellness and, thereby, enhancing overall well-being. In the course of our work together, as a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, I’m committed to displaying unconditional positive regard for my clients and holding a belief in their capacity for change and honoring that each client is an expert on his or her or their life while ensuring that all interactions and environments are safe, respectful and non-judgmental.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Those who are done with quick fixes, who are fed up with sitting on a fence, and ready to make changes that last. I help people who struggle with but not limited to: anxiety, chronic pain, gut health, and trauma. In all areas of well-being such as physical (movement, nutrition), mental (mindfulness, communication), emotional (trauma responses and behavioural therapy), spiritual (faith, trust, hope, and love).
Clients who are ready to prioritize their healing. Who are self-determined enough to prioritize themself in their unique lifestyle, and are willing to let go of the things that are holding them back, slowing them down, or getting in their way, whether that’s the stories we tell ourselves, habits, behaviours, peoples, even environments. Those who are ready to develop their unique style of health and wellness rather than use a one-size fits all approach.
How are you different from other Health, Life and Wellness Coaches?
With the highest level of education in the Health and Wellness Coaching Industry, from taking a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Training Program, ICF Accredited - Health and Life Coaching Certifications, and am a trauma informed Certified Subconscious Mental Health Professional, Reiki, combined with a client centred approach, with personal experience in chronic illness, health and wellness.
Creating a unique evidence based holistic system upon four pillars. I believe that success in healing and health comes from the fine art of simultaneously clearing the emotional clutter, reframing beliefs, and adding in more healthier, behaviour/habit choices. We use a range of self-assessments and an astrological approach to help get a deeper understanding of your unique strengths, gifts, soul’s purpose and all the parts you or the world may have deemed unlovable.
Each session is designed to be client-driven and to deliver an extremely high level of accountability, loving support and the right system, so you make empowered decisions and take bold action toward achieving your goals for your overall health.
What is ICF or a National Boards Coach?
ICF Accreditation and National Board Certifications are professional certifications indicating that the coach has met specific standards and requirements designed to develop and refine their coaching skills. It is an indication that as a coach, I am dedicated to upholding strong principles of ethical behaviour in coaching. These credentials show clients and peers that your Coach is committed to the coaching industry and to developing oneself as a coaching professional.
Holding a credential – especially an ICF or NBHWC – is extremely important to today’s coaching clients. The 2022 Global Consumer Awareness Study found that 85% of coaching clients say it’s important or very important that their coach holds a certification or credential.
What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?
You are responsible for your own results. I work best with people who are self-driven, honest, willing and ready to do the work. Whom have tried other therapies/modalities and haven’t gotten the progress/results they are longing for. If we are working together then you are committed to show up for yourself, even on low quality days, be honest about what is and isn’t working, not only with yourself but openly sharing it with me as well. I love to have transparency in what is and isn’t working and believe that success is built on vulnerability, honesty, and transparency. Help me, help you. Be willing to take risks, try new things, and stretch beyond your current experience. If you don’t like an action step we create, no problem. Maybe you’ll be inspired to create your own.
What services do you offer, and how do I get started?
I offer an array of services, 90, 180 day programs. We meet for a discovery chat, where we discuss the difference between coaching and therapy, what it is, what it is not, while developing an understanding of potential client’s wellness vision, what their current state of health is like, and curate an outline on how to get there. Discussing programs, protocols, fees, and payment terms. If coach and client are in agreement, then we discuss what the next steps are. Includes a welcome email, coach-client agreement, deposit, and a client assessment.
Who does this NOT work for?
People who aren’t ready or willing to let go of that which is holding them back. “I CAN’T” “I WON’T” Those who are close minded, not willing to try new things, or stuck in victim-mentality. Thoughts like; “why does this happen to me”, “nothing ever works for me”, “why bother”, “I’ll try it but it’s probably not going to work” etc. are limiting thoughts, and won’t support self-transformation. We cannot make good decisions for ourselves or others coming from a place of blame, shame, fear or victimhood. The pain and suffering isn’t happening to you, it’s happening for you, for your greatest growth. Clients need to be ready to step into that power, even if you feel fearful embracing new uncharted territory. Even if you failed in the past. As I like to say, feel the fear and do it anyway.
What exactly is your system and what does it include?
L.I.T’s signature system, which I explain more during our Discovery Chat. All our emotions, thoughts, feelings and behaviours stem from our subconscious mind. I have a unique highly intuitive skill set to look at your inner map, and of course your personal and lived experiences up till now to help us narrow down the right tools for you. In our weekly sessions together you get to experiment with these different tools, take them home each week and try them on. If one doesn’t work, come back and we will try on another one. If it does resonate with you then great, we continue to build on this. This isn’t about finding ONE thing, it’s about creating multiple tools to choose from when it comes to your Life Tool Kit.

What results can I expect?
Results vary and are unique to each individual depending on what target area we are focusing our time together on. Results are also dependent on you showing up doing the action steps in between weekly sessions. Which includes experimenting with action steps asking for support, scheduling self-care daily and coaching calls, and using your program benefits.

Although I want [X,Y,Z] I don’t have much time to spare. How much time do I need?
For our program clients, We meet once a week for an hour to an hour and a half (depending on client availability and session). Outside of any session, it’s your responsibility for prioritizing yourself daily, timing can vary depending on the type of curated action steps we create together for your unique lifestyle. We are constantly addressing how this fits into your unique lifestyle and is not about restrictions, it’s about options!
